General Description

You hardly ever see this material, as the acid generally removes the colours shown in nature when being mined! These are 100% natural! Generally Speaking - Fairy Quartz is often interpreted as a fringe deposit of the Spirit Quartz else as a precursor of the main deposits. The colour tends to range from white to limonite in colour. Fairy Quartz was once believed to originate in the Magalies mountain range in South Africa but this was later confirmed to be a urban legend to distract people from the true Spirit Quartz deposits. The specimens often present classic cactus quartz like features but the main crystals are drusy coated, and not as clearly defined in the classic cactus habit! Price is grade dependant.
